Sales Operations Team Lead:

Starting rate: $25-$30 per hour

Full-time

Position Summary:

The Sales Operations Team Lead reports directly to the Sales Operations Manager and helps oversee the Sales Operations Team. This role ensures the accurate execution and overall success of all sales operation’s programs, including marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist the Sales Operations Manager lead the sales operations team to ensure timely and accurate pricing and signage updates throughout the store.
  • Supervise the production of ad hoc signage as requested and ensure consistency in branding and messaging.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of materials for print ads on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate with the Community Engagement Coordinator and sales operations associates to ensure the successful execution of weekly advertisement programs and ad hoc promotions.
  • Collaborate with sales operations associates to direct the proper hanging and placement of signs and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the development, and implementation of processes and procedures to improve existing point-of-sale and promotional programs.
  • Communicate with various departments and vendors to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is entered into the POS system efficiently.
  • Evaluate department operations and report findings to the Sales Operations Manager and assist with streamlining.
  • Work with the Sales Operations Manager to develop and implement procedures and controls to enhance communication and information flow within the sales operations department.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding business operations.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members, providing guidance and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Support a positive team environment by fostering collaboration and upholding professionalism, mutual respect, and effective communication.
  • Address and resolve customer and co-worker complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Follow and enforce all Island Market safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Qualifications / Required Skills / Key Competencies

  • 1-year of experience in POS systems and retail operations.
  • Leadership and team management skills preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-starter and manage time wisely
  • Good analytical & organizational skills

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and to lift objects of up to 50 lbs
