Holiday Eggnog

Wonderful homemade eggnog. Great for a holiday party...or just make some to have on hand. This home made version has simple recognizable ingredients, without the additives found in store bought versions. Delicious!

  • 6 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/8 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Pint Whipping cream
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • Dash Nutmeg
  1. Beat egg whites until frothy.
  2. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff.
  3. Beat egg yolks, 1/2 cup of sugar, and salt until light.
  4. Combine egg mixtures, stirring until thoroughly blended.
  5. Add whipped cream, milk, and vanilla, beating well.
  6. Pour into Half gallon container and store in refrigerator.
  7. Shake or stir before serving and sprinkle with nutmeg.
  8. Yields about 1 1/2 quarts.
  9. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream if you like..
